Deshazor Everet pleaded guilty to reckless driving

Deshazor Everet, a well-known defensive back player, pleaded guilty to reckless driving after being involved in a fatal car accident in December 2021. Deshazor pleaded guilty after the prosecution changed the initial charge to manslaughter.

Deshazor is due back in court for sentencing on the 8th of September. But how did it all happen? Deshazor Everet was originally charged with manslaughter in February after the crash that killed his girlfriend, Olivia. Olivia was a passenger in a Nissan GT-R driven by Deshazor.

Deshazor was found to be driving twice the speed limit just before the accident. The vehicle veered off the right side of the road as Deshazor and Olivia traveled north on Gun Spring Street, before hitting trees and overturning.

Deshazor Everet played college football at Texas A&M. In 2015, he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent on a three-year contract worth $1.48 million. During organized club activities, he competed for his spot on the team but was eventually waived by Tampa.

In the same year, Deshazor signed a contract with the Washington Redskins, for whom he made his debut in a game against the Philadelphia Eagles. In 2021, he played 14 games for Washington Redskins.
