A big turnaround for Juan Soto

Two months before the trade deadline expired Mike Rizzo decided to finally resolve the situation with Juan Soto. The general manager has decided not to change one of the main players. Juan became a free agent only after 2024. His future was unclear since he quickly became one of the most dominant baseball players.

Mike said his team spoke with Juan's agent during a recent visit to Washington DC. Even though there was no contract extension, Washington offered a 13-year contract worth $ 350 million.

Juan scored 29 home runs in 2021. Through 51 games during the fifth season in the Major League Juan is slashing .232 / .379 / .442 with 42 walks and nine homers. Dave Martinez moved Juan from 2nd place back to 3rd place where he spent most of his career. Despite the fact that his average is not what he would like it to be, he is still a great hitter.

After being celebrated in 2019 as the young winner of the World Series championship Juan is today a built player and young center of a team that is going through a reboot after a list overhaul on Trade Deadline. Over time, he became the leader of the team on which the entire team relies, and it is not surprising why he decided to stay at the club for some time.
