Tottenham brought in the most expensive player in the history of the club

Richarlison, a soccer player from Brazil and until recently an Everton player, is a new player for Hotspur. The clubs signed everything, so Richarlison became the most expensive footballer in the history of Tottenham. The fixed amount of compensation is 60 million euros with an additional 10 million euros that Everton can receive by exercising clauses related to bonuses.

But not everything went so smoothly, at least according to Fabrizio Romano. It was he who discovered the drama that preceded the agreement between the two clubs. Everton initially rejected Tottenham's offer of 50 million euros, but soon accepted an improved offer from the same club.

However, soon Chelsea tried to steal the player and sent Everton an identical offer. But in the end, Tottenham managed to fight back and ended up sending in a record bid that kept Richarlison from joining Chelsea in the end.

Richarlison came to Everton from Watford in the summer of 2018 for a fee of 40 million euros. He played 152 games for Everton, scoring 53 and setting up 14 goals. At the same time, he became a member of the Brazilian national team with 36 games and 14 goals.

The management of Tottenham has made it clear that they want to strengthen the team before next season. In other words, they continue to strengthen the team after earlier bringing in Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, and Ivan Perisic. It will be a strong team with excellent forward players like Son Heung-min and Harry Kane.
