Sandra Perkovic won a silver medal at the World Championships in Eugene. With this medal, she became the first discus player in history with five medals at the world championships. She began her incredible streak in Moscow in 2013 by winning gold. Two years later, she was second in Beijing, and in 2017 she won another gold in London. This was followed by bronze in Doha 2019 and now silver in Eugene.

It is Sandra's 12th medal in major competitions. Let's add that the 32-year-old Perković also won two Olympic golds (2012, 2016), and has five European titles (2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018).
